    Reporting notes that since 2008 (or 2012, per AP), all but one TIFF People's Choice winner has gone on to a Best Picture nomination, with five eventually winning, fueling predictions of an awards run for Netflix's release, which opens in theaters Oct. 16 and begins streaming Dec. 2.
