I'm guessing $1000 is an exaggeration but are you talking about all the DLCs from Forsaken and onwards? Or are you including the vaulted stuff as well? I see that all 9 DLCs you can get right now would cost $185 in total which I get is no small fee but on steam you can buy them all for half the price in a bundle which I think is a pretty good deal.

Instead of vertical progression where new content means greatly improving gear, gaining more levels and abilities, making previous content not worth doing. Horizontal progression means new content and new gear, but isn't supposed to improve your character drastically, you won't level up or gain new abilities, thus making all content still worth it.

While cool this isnt the first time Bungie has done this. So say they do make the right fixes, how long before bungie screws up again? I want bungie to succeed but unless I see a major shift in their company culture I cant see us not being right back here a year or two from now.

All I want is a neat menu with all the raids and the option to use meta loadouts from that time period, so I can boot into one with my friends and play that content. I dont have the time to grind out power level and all the gear every update and my fondness memory of D2 was making it through the Leviathan with the boys.

Looped seasons is exactly the concept Im talking about. Basically play through the whole story on a cycle, but keep DLCs up to player choice for what they want to grind/play with. This way they can play at their own pace if they want, or play along with the rest of the player base through the story if thats their preference.
