Case registered under gang rape and POCSO provisions
Police registered a case under Sections 70(2), 61(2), 115(2), and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 6 and 17 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Preliminary investigation revealed the three men had known each other for two to three years and had a history of harassing girls in parks in the area.

Police encounter with Asif; suspect shot in leg during arrest attempt
Early Tuesday morning, a police team led by Inspector Rajender Dagar received information that Asif was near Amar Colony. When police attempted to intercept him, he allegedly fired three rounds. Police returned fire in self-defence, with one round hitting suspect Asif in his right leg. He was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment.
“Despite being directed to surrender, Asif allegedly continued firing, and one round hit the bulletproof jacket of Head Constable Rajesh. In self-defence, police said Rajesh fired two rounds, one of which hit the accused in his right leg.”

Victim makes distress call; police arrive and find both teenagers at scene — The girl made a PCR call at 8:45 p.m. Police personnel from Amar Colony police station reached Astha Kunj Park and found her with her male friend at the spot. She was subsequently medically examined at AIIMS.
