i know at least three people who act like total methheads, and look like it a lot of the time. All of them get adderall prescribed by dumb doctors. At the end of the month they change completely (sometimes for the better, sometimes not, depending on if they find other substances to replace what they ran out of.)

Not really, it takes <30 minutes with a rando telehealth provider to get a script if you really want one. The USA hands out more ADHD scripts BY FAR than any other first world country. You dont even need an official diagnoses for a script The problem is has this has created a shortage so doctors and patients that actually do their due diligence…

what you describe is a bit sad, but I want to point out that I have a friend who is a "recovering" addict who swore on his life his pain "couldn't be fixed with anything else" but really he's just addicted to opiates. it's not that nothing else works, it's that he doesn't WANT anything else. and yes, there is a difference.

No they cut off his script. Some of the last photos of him are coming out of the pharmacy when they wouldn't give him his opioid meds so he went and found some on the street and died immediately.
