   Outlets detail trilogy status, Rey's expected return

   Follow-up coverage from Collider and IGN added that the trilogy, written by Simon Kinberg, is expected to bring back Daisy Ridley's Rey Skywalker, that Disney has not yet given the project an official green light, and that it is further along in development than any Star Wars film besides Starfighter.

   “[Kinberg] wrote something that we read in August, and it was very good, but not there. We've pretty much upended the story, and then spent a great deal of time on the treatment, which he finished literally about four weeks ago. And it's a very detailed treatment, like 70 pages. And so he is expected to give us something in March.”

     Worldwide revenue at the time (you cant count later releases for this) was extremely volatile randomly expanding and contracting. Many markets never even got all the movies for political reasons. You can only count US gross for the OT because of this because its the only stable factor.    Hollywood Reporter confirms Watts to direct new trilogy

   The Hollywood Reporter reported that Jon Watts is attached to direct the first film of a new Star Wars trilogy for Lucasfilm, quickly picked up across entertainment outlets.

   “Jon Watts is attached to direct the first installment of a new Star Wars trilogy, intended to continue the Skywalker Saga. Written by Simon Kinberg.”

   An early report, citing insider Daniel Richtman, raised the possibility that Jon Watts would direct the next Star Wars film.
