What to know

  • Apple's 8th-generation iPad Mini brings its first OLED display, an A20 Pro chip, and a $699 starting price, launching November 6, 2026.
  • Hands-on reviewers praise the OLED screen's quality and the optional matte nano-texture finish, with MKBHD calling it a highly characteristic Apple product.
  • Reviewers consistently flag two drawbacks: the display still caps at 60Hz (no ProMotion) and the device retains Touch ID rather than Face ID.
