Miliband confronts Lavrov at G20: 'We all know you are the aggressor'
UK Foreign Secretary directly challenges Russia's foreign minister over Ukraine at the G20 summit in Atlanta after a planned photocall was scrapped.
What to know
- Miliband confronted Lavrov face-to-face at the G20 foreign ministers' meeting in Atlanta, citing a Russian drone strike that killed 15 people at Dnipro railway station.
- European ministers refused a joint photocall with Lavrov, forcing organisers to scrap the planned event.
- The remarks implicitly criticised Trump's recent waiver of sanctions on Russia and his calls for Zelensky to be replaced, reflecting allied unease over Washington's shift toward Moscow.
“If you had the courage to tell the truth and to do what is right you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win.”

No, he knows Russia is the aggressor. He just believes it is their right to do so. He is a true believer of ‘might makes right’ and spheres of influence. Since Ukraine is in Russias sphere of influence, he thinks it should just accept being taken over by them if that’s what they want. Note the man thinks Greenland, Canada and all of South…

So the plan is USSR 2.0 and the devil-not-known? I wonder which Baltic Country that'll roll over first.

Israel is completely irrelevant to the Ukraine war, just as the Ukraine war is irrelevant to the Israel conflict. Two separate discussions that shouldn't be put together.

I mean I don’t see an alternative that’s palatable to Ukraine other than to keep fighting, unless Russia pulls out. Even if the motives aren’t altruistic, I don’t think it’s a bad thing that the west is supporting Ukraine.

Yet everyone outside of Europe knows it was the US and Britain that started this war

"Do SoMe ReSeaRcH" Putin illegally invaded Ukraine. Putin is the dictator of Russia. Real opposition has literally been murdered. It's the fourth year of his invasion and even he has had to admit it's not been going well. On what planet do you live on where this is magically someone else's fault...

It's automatic. Once any nation's troops are anywhere in the country, any strike, any hit, any kill is a trigger. And yes, Putin would, because game theory.
