Maybe if you actually looked at the financial reports instead of buying just on vibes you would know you are buying a phone company. No. I think the next thing that will really impact Apple is the new Gemini Siri. My circle (family and friends in two countries) do not think anything exist until Apple does it. Apple will give some free to get people hooked and then charge and it will be a decent boost to Apple's financials. Also Google as they are doing the back-end.

Apple joining the party kinda late on features is kinda normal. But what they lack in speed to the market they normally bring a level of quality and intention to the design. It’s not a phone I would buy, but I also don’t buy the newest electronic until I need to replace the old one… so I’m not likely the best judgement in that sphere.

Except in reality, they’ve had patents on foldable phones for 15 years, and clearly have no problems waiting until they feel a product is ready for market before they release it. They won’t - and have never - claimed it’s brand new, and they’ll immediately become the market leader and make the product mainstream. Hope that helps!

Yes, that’s exactly what Apple does. Cell phones were around before the iPhone. Tablets before iPad. Smart watches before Apple Watch. Then Apple comes in and turns the category into an industry

from what I see Samsungs first patent for foldable phones was filed in 2009 I really doubt Apple was messing with foldable phones before they released the first iPhone.

I think the better question is: should I buy Apple stock based on this foldable phone? No. The only people buying in right now are doing so because of hype and FOMO.

A flop to who? A flop would mean they had their expectations higher. The AVP was never a consumer focused device.
