Samsung refrigerators have always been notoriously bad. They lead the industry in failure rates. I had one about 10 years ago, gorgeous design, cheaply engineered. Ice maker started freezing itself shut, then the fridge wouldn’t hold temp, then the freezer failed. Spent several weeks fighting with them to honor the warranty, finally got it.

Not really. Design simplicity and repairability. I had a fridge die a few year ago and the tech said the design made fixing it impossible to be cost effective as they foamed in the guts and electronics. There was a short somewhere. That was after 3 visits
