I had insurance through my dad when I was a teenager. He had finally stepped up and added me. At 14. I got healthcare for a couple years before it flipped to an HMO. Imagine being 16 and responsible for copayments. Between Reagan destroying healthcare for millions and my parents being deadbeats…

Past two years? Pretty sure they have been pushing this hard since the 80s. They’re speed running now for sure, but that’s because they’re trying to extract as much capital as possible before the coming collapse that cannot be held off much longer.

I was part of that system for all of my working life. I watched it spiral out of control, beginning with Reagan & his declaration of health care as a business which suddenly funneled huge amts of money from patient care to advertising & expensive administrators. But the students ARE a great story.
