This is a significant early win for anyone interested in transparency and accountability toward achieving (or missing) international climate change commitments. While the youth may not be ultimately successful, this will still get important evidence on the record.

The government can amend or even repeal the legislation this is happening under and the lawsuit would disappear. If they actually lose, this outcome is far more likely than the Carney government actually reviving the Trudeau-era policies it has scrapped. So environmentalists might want to pump the brakes a little on celebrating this result.

There is a way. Unfortunately, it looks like we're not going to do it, and all of us, including those claiming bread is only cheap because of pipelines, are going to suffer severe and well-deserved consequences. Reality doesn't care about feelings. Perhaps that's something we should teach in school.

We need money and we need it fast. How do you think climate policy would go if we were taken over by the US? Our sovereignty has to come before the environment right now. It sucks but we aren’t in the same world we were in 10 years ago.

Selling 90% of our energy to the US is a great threat to our country. We need less regulation and more open markets to sell our energy and have more people come here.
