The problem is BC wine is as scarce as California wine outside of BC. I'm in Ontario so at least we get Niagara wine which is great,but when I lived in Quebec I rarely drank Canadian wine. It would be great if we could enjoy all Canadian wines across the country

This is just scapegoating. 3-5% of overall California wine production was exported to Canada. It is not Canada's fault that there is an over supply of grapes & a change in US consumer habits where non-boomers either cant afford wine or prefer beer. FYI 🇨🇦 only accounts for 35% of total exports.

3,500 acres in wine country is a mind boggling amount of wealth. They could have leased it out for other uses and maintained ownership, if the land itself truly mattered to them. They saw a chance to cash in for $22.5 million while blaming Canada for publicity.
