Mastodon user Bernard reposts the funding-gap argument with added detail

A Mastodon account mirrored the original X post, including an extended version noting the need to fund standing militaries, hardware, ships, submarines, aircraft, tanks, artillery, missiles, drones, and the technological capability to deploy them.

“It’s not just an issue of finding funds for a standing military, hardware, ships, submarines, aircraft, tanks, heavy and light artillery, missiles and drones etc., they also have to fund the technological capabilities to use and deploy modern weapons.”

Think about this for a few moments. Canada, the U.K and Europe are all facing the same problem…. MONEY! Where are they going to come up with the funds to pay for a military investment they have declined to make for the past 50+ years? It’s not just an issue of finding funds for a standing military, hardware, ships, submarines, aircraft, tanks…

@TheLastRefuge2 posts on Canada/UK/Europe military funding gap

The account argues that Canada, the UK, and Europe share a common problem of lacking funds for military investment neglected for more than 50 years, and that the issue extends beyond paying for hardware to include funding the technological capability to use and deploy modern weapons.
