    • Sad fact is that point a is not generation bound but more bound to social circles. And b is irrelevant, as the total amount is it has been declining for years. The truth is indeed though that general alcohol consumption is lower on some of the newer generation ( indeed making the real choice not to do alcohol or have a certain attitude against it)…

    • It's mostly because we consume wine like a classy thing. It has the image of an expensive beverage, even if you can find plenty of good affordable wine. It's not tendy, It's old fashioned, it has a connotation of a premium product, it's not a festive or relaxed drink. And the wine industry actively cultivates that image
